A Journey into the Unknown

It's amazing how time will suddenly pass by. It has been 3 1/2 years since the last post that I put onto this blog. The journey was nothing like I thought it would be. It was a lot of
success, and some setback. In January 2025, I got a harsh reminder that a blessing cannot go to waste.
I looked at the place that I was hoping would be a warm welcome to people already, wondering how to get to the next phase. This year, the call to be ready came. I knew that I was going to have to put in the work with the drive and ambition that I started with.
I suddenly found myself completely immersed in Carolina Valley. It was cozy. It was familiar, and it was scary. ... Success is never guaranteed. Good intentions do not equal results. What one person values doesn't translate to everyone.
When it is time for Carolina Valley to be a place for others (hopefully soon), I am reminded of the blunt and beautiful reality: It's not for everyone.
It is rugged. It's bumpy. It's not simple. It's not convenient. It's off the beaten path. ... and the amount of beauty that can give to someone, is unparallelled.
For every bump on the road... There's a deer, a rabbit, a turtle.
For every bit of dust on a vehicle... There's an unrivaled mountain sunset.
For every effort to get here... there's a moment's peace, a place to relax, away from the rush and the hustle. A place to sit and breathe.
Over the months and years that I have been here, There's always a chair on the deck with my name on it. Of the literal thousands of times I have taken a moment to sit out and look at the forest, the animals, a lightning storm, a starry night sky, sunsets, rain, clouds, the mountains.... I have felt so blessed, each and every time, without exception.
THAT is what I hope to share with others.
